23rd edition of the Sacramento French Film Festival
French cinema is on display in the US on the occasion of the 23rd edition of the Sacramento French Film Festival (SFFF), June 7-9, 2024 at the Tower Theatre.
The Sacramento French Film Festival strives to be in tune with French cinema, and this year carries a special meaning.
The poster for this new edition of the festival is a tribute to French actress Judith Godrèche, whose recent powerful testimony rekindled the #MeToo movement in France and challenged not only the French film industry, but French society as a whole.
Over the three days of the festival, 8 films will be screened at the Tower Theatre, including some of the most awarded films at the Césars. Under the theme of fraternity, the selection will highlight the importance of solidarity in responding to major contemporary issues. This year’s Sacramento French Film Festival offers an emotionally-charged journey through the bonds of family and friendship, female solidarity and human solidarity.
The festival program will be officially announced on Friday, May 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dreamland Cinema, Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre, 1901 P Street, Sacramento.
