Learning French - DELF / DALF / TCF

The French Language Diploma (DELF) and the Advanced French Language Diploma (DALF) certify the level of French language skills in four areas (oral, written, reading and conversation).

The French Language Proficiency Test (TCF) evaluates the general French language skills in the four areas mentioned above. It is intended for people whose mother tongue is not French. It is accessible to anyone over the age of 16.

In Seattle, it is possible to take the "all public " DELF/DALF exam at the Alliance française of Seattle.

In San Francisco, it is possible to take the TCF and the "all public" DELF at the Alliance française of San Francisco.

Note: The DELF/DALF exam centers of the Lycée Français of San Francisco and the "Education Française Bay Area (EFBA)" are reserved for students enrolled in these schools.

Before making your choice, we invite you to check with the organization requesting recognition of your language level, to see if they accept either of these exams.
