Upcoming French Cinema Events in the Bay Area

Celebrate French cinema with two must-attend events: the screening of Le Fil (An Ordinary Case) by Daniel Auteuil, presented by French Premiere, and the San Francisco French Cinema Days 2024, taking place from November 1 to 3 in the bay area.

New French Premiere Screening : Le Fil (An Ordinary Case)

Don’t miss the new French Premiere screening of the film Le Fil (An Ordinary Case) , directed and starring Daniel Auteuil, released in France on September 11.

This poignant drama explores the quest for justice and truth through the eyes of a disillusioned lawyer. Tasked with defending a man accused of murdering his wife, the lawyer, played by Auteuil, finds his convictions tested as the investigation unfolds.

Launched in January 2024 by French Premiere, this program offers a new French film each month in cinemas across San Francisco, Oakland, and Palo Alto, allowing local audiences to experience the latest French productions on the big screen.

San Francisco French Cinema Days

Organized by the French American Cultural Society, French Talent USA, MerciSF, and French Premiere, the San Francisco French Cinema Days, held from November 1 to 3, will showcase an outstanding selection of French films in the heart of the Bay Area.

For the 2024 edition, several renowned guests, including Marion Cotillard and director Mona Achache, will be present to introduce Little Girl Blue on Saturday, November 2.
