Bernadette Murphy spent seven years until she made the discovery that re-wrote the story of Vincent van Gogh’s infamous self-harm. Murphy will travel from France to Berkeley to talk about her investigation and show how—even today, more than 130 years after the event—it is still possible to rewrite history.
From October 6 to February 6, 2020, Elisabeth Daynès’s work will be exhibited at 836M gallery in San Francisco. Born in Beziers (France) in 1960, Elisabeth Daynès lives and works in Paris. In the early stages of her career in theatre, she was fascinated by the question of identity and metamorphosis.
PULSIONS, an exhibition of French contemporary artists curated by artist Kalie Granier, will be presented at Pro Arts Gallery (Oakland) from October 4, 2019 to November 1, 2019. The opening reception will take place on Friday, October 4 from 6pm to 9pm.
2019 is a milestone in the Alliance française of San Francisco history, a shared 130 year-anniversary with the famous Eiffel Tower !
