The French-American Chamber of Commerce of the North-West Pacific

Founded in 1986, the French-American Pacific Northwest Chamber of Commerce (FACCPNW) is an independent, non-profit organization led by its members. It promotes a Franco-American business community in the region, as well as the support of French and American companies in their efforts. Based in Seattle, Washington, its jurisdiction also covers Oregon and Idaho.

The FACCPNW has more than 280 French and American members representing 98 companies, including Air France, Boeing, Dassault Systèmes, Microsoft, Seattle Port, Safran, Starbucks, and the University of Washington.

The Alliance Française of Portland

The Alliance Française of Portland is a 900-student nonprofit cultural and educational association present at the Kamm House in the heart of Old Portland. The group is a chapter of the Alliance Française Foundation based in Paris; the largest global network of French language centers, with more than 1,000 chapters in more than 130 countries.

The Alliance Française of Portland organizes many cultural events, including the largest annual Bastille festival on the west coast (8,000 guests) and the famous Beaujolais Nouveau festival (500 guests). The Alliance française of Portland also offers French courses for all ages.

This local chapter of the Alliance Française develops programs and activities for all audiences and its mission is to promote French and Francophone cultures in the region. It is also part of the category FRAMES. Alliances Françaises in this category offer cultural and social events, and resources on the French language and Francophone cultures.
These Alliances also develop French language programs that are currently in compliance with the standards of the Alliance Française Foundation.
