"A Room with a View": and the winner is...

The Selection Committee of the first edition of “a room with a view”, the author in residency program launched by French Cultural Services in San Francisco, in partnership with Institut Français, took place on March 28th at the Residence of France in San Francisco around a luncheon.



The composition of the committee was:

  • Églantine Colon, Assistant Professor in French Studies and affiliated faculty in the Program in Critical Theory, UC Berkeley
  • John McMurtrie - Book editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.
  • Noah M. Mintz – Bookseller at Green Apple Books and Translator
  • Emmanuel Lebrun Damiens – Consul General of France
  • Stéphane Ré – Cultural Attaché
  • Hannah Loué – Executive Director – French American Cultural Society / Programm Officer for the Cultural Services

French authors have applied online on the plateform provided by Institut Français in Paris. After much deliberation, the winner has been selected: Congratulations, Martin Winckler!
