Call for artists : And the winners are...
The French Consulate in San Francisco and The French American Cultural Society are proud to announce the winners of their Call for Artists, which offered the possibility for artists from the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest to exhibit their art at the French Residence in San Francisco, for a period of four months.
Due to the high quality of the works submitted, two artists have been designated as the winners of this competition!
The first winner, Juliette Choné, will have her work on show at the French Residence from October 2016 to January 2017.
"I am a French visual artist and I moved from Paris to San Francisco in December 2015. My work, at the same time critical and poetical, questions the concepts of nature and culture, and more specifically, the relationship between humans, plants and animals, through the notion of metamorphosis and « non-separation ». I use primarily the drawing with BIC pen and ink on paper because I like the delicacy of these materials." (Juliette Choné)
As for the other winner, Adam McCauley, you’ll have the chance to discover his work in the first semester of 2017!
