#ParisAttacks: Message from Consul General

Consul General of France in San Francisco, Pauline Carmona, would like to thank all of you for your support and your help. She has a message for you.

"Thank you to all of those who, during these extremely difficult days, have written to us or who have come to the Consulate to express their sorrow and solidarity.

Thank you to the San Francisco Police Department and to City Hall for their help and support.

Several spontaneous gatherings have taken place since Friday evening, thousands of messages, flowers, and children’s drawings have been delivered and addressed to us. Sunday afternoon, there were more than a thousand people with us at City Hall, gathered together under the French flag.

Throughout the counties and states under our geographic jurisdiction, French flags were raised, monuments were illuminated with the colors of the French Republic, and minutes of silence were observed.

These images have made their way around the world. They will remain in our memories just as strongly as the many tributes to the victims and their families, as well as the support shown for the values of France : Liberty Equality, Fraternity”.
