Pauline Carmona : "Thank You!"
Following the rally #JeSuisCharlie on January 11th at the Civic Center plaza in front of the City Hall, the French consul general in San Francisco, Pauline Carmona, would like to thank all of you.
"Thank you to the organizers, photographers, and journalists, to the City Hall and San Francisco Security Forces, and to all the French citizens and friends that came out in solidarity.
On January 11th 2015, San Francisco was Charlie.
From the event, which gathered together more than 2,000 people, we shall remember the spontaneity, dignity and reverence. We shall also remember the image of the French flag flying from City Hall.
French citizens and friends, all were there to honor the victims, to say no to terrorism, racism and anti-Semitism, and to reaffirm France’s values: democracy, tolerance, freedom of the press and freedom of speech.
In order for this moment of solidarity to remain etched in our memories, the banner that was signed by many of you will remain hanging on the walls of the French Consulate."
